Can I take driving lessons before I pass my theory test?
Yes, you can. In fact, whilst taking your driving lessons, your knowledge of road signs and road markings will be greatly improved.

Your instructor will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you have about your theory test. The best way to prepare for your theory test is to keep practising online.
What is better, automatic or manual car?
All modern cars are being made with automatic transmission. Automatic cars are easier to learn. You can always upgrade to a manual license after you pass your test in an automatic car.
How much are automatic driving lessons?
Data updated October 2025 - On average the cost for an automatic driving lesson is £40 per hour. Manual driving lesson on average is £38 per hour. Driving schools offer discounts on block bookings.
How do I choose a good driving instructor?
Ask family and friends for recommendations. Visit the website to read the reviews. All instructors are good instructors, the question is, will you and your instructor get along. Best solution is book a trial lesson with your chosen instructor. If all goes well and you feel happy at the end of the lesson, then that is a positive sign that this instructor is right for you. Give us a try and we will do our best to make you happy.
What if I don't like my instructor?
It's ok to change instructors. Your instructor will not be offended. In fact, if you both did not get on well during the lesson, it is probably best for both parties that you change instructor. Give us a try we will do our best to keep you happy.
Do I have to pay in advance?
All driving schools will ask for payment in advance. Payment creates a binding contract. You will attend the lesson and the instructor will deliver the lesson.
